Any parents with an elementary school student in the Ellensburg Public School district make sure to get your hands on the library newsletter released February first. The Ellensburg Public Library (EPL) is taking great strides in reaching out to the community and printed over 1,650 copies of their very first newsletter. The library has been at the forefront of community programs and now they would like you to know more about what they have to offer.
The library has reached out to Central Communication Agency to help connect with the community even more. Ever since their partnership, the library will now be sending out a bi-monthly newsletter to the Ellensburg elementary schools. This newsletter will consist of information about programs the library has to offer, upcoming events, and chances to win awesome prizes!
Each newsletter has an event calendar, program descriptions, and a quiz corner that encourages kids to get into the library. For the February and March newsletter quiz corner find the photo of the original Carnegie Library posted in the EPL and point it out to a librarian to receive a prize! Children can also fill out their name and phone number on the quiz corner cut out to be entered in a drawing for a grand prize at the end of March.
This newsletter also features a book of the month, The Book With No Pictures by B.J. Novak. This innovative spin on a children’s book allows kids to find the fun in words while engaging parents to read-aloud and play-along. Swing by the library and see what all the hype is about.
Each newsletter will feature new programs and information so watch for bi-monthly editions coming soon. For additional information please like the EPL on Facebook, or stop by the EPL and pick up your own copy of the bi-monthly newsletter.
