Written By: Madalyn Freeman

Health Fitness Complete (HFC) and the Central Communication Agency (CCA) have worked together the past five months to host the “Be a Superhero 5K” walk/run to promote healthy children and families. This event is on Saturday, May 3 and will start at Rotary Park, continue around Peoples Pond and return to where the race began. Registration starts at 10 a.m. and the race starts at 11 a.m.

Throughout these five months we have sought donations from around the community with the help of our Sponsorship Package. We were able to get donations from Sedona Sun, Winegars, University Park and Place Apartments, Subway, Palace Café, and Bleachers. All of which will help make this event more enticing for the local community!

The HFC Team will be participating in the Lincoln Elementary Junior Exploration Station Friday, May 2 to promote the 5K. Over 100 kindergarten students will be able to color their own “Be A Superhero 5K” mask and wear it the day of the event. Health Fitness Complete is excited to help the elementary schools. The goal is to raise $2,500 and divide that evenly amongst their Parent Teacher Associations.

Pre-registration is currently offered now at
