On Thursday October 17, Central Communication Agency (CCA) launched it’s guerrilla campaign for the new CWU Student Media mobile app. The Student Media App allows students of Central Washington University to access a variety of student-run medias housed in the University’s Communication Department from their mobile phones. The student medias represented in the mobile app are The Observer, Pulse Magazine, CCA, CATtv and Newswatch. CCA Account Executive Jessie Fisher executed a campus-wide chalking event to help promote the “Have You Seen Pg. 12? #TheObserver” campaign. Fisher’s campaign also included writing on whiteboards in classrooms, passing out free Monster Energy drinks in the CWU Student Union and Recreation Center (SURC) and a radio interview with 88.1 The Burg. The Student Media App is currently released on the iPhone platform, and the Android release will be released by Monday October 21st.
